What is a Pillowcasegram?

Pillowcasegrams are bright and cheerful novelty pillowcases made out of high-quality fabric that reflect a recipient’s interests, experiences, their favorite things in life.  When you send someone a Pillowcasegram, it is all about that person.  Or if you choose to order some for yourself, a Pillowcasegram is all about you! 


Why should I send a Pillowcasegram?

A Pillowcasegram is a great alternative for sending a unique gift through the mail, rather than sending a gift that wilts, adds calories, or stuffed animals that end up gathering dust.  Pillowcasegrams can last for years!   And everyone uses a pillowcase.  They’ve been compared to charms on a charm bracelet -- fun to collect.   They are just as fun to send as they are to receive. 


What is included in a Pillowcasegram order?

Each order will include the number of pillowcases ordered and a “telegram” with the requested message.  The pillowcase(s) will be wrapped in high-quality tissue paper.

Why don’t you sell the pillowcases in pairs?

We sell the pillowcases singly because they are meant to be the recipient’s individual gift.  They reflect the recipient’s personality, hobbies, or interests.  You can certainly order two of the same pillowcase for a matching set.  However, it is fun to mix and match the pillowcases, and choose an assortment of pillowcases that reflect a recipient’s many interests.  Pillowcases don’t have to match bedspreads or room décor -- they can enhance them.  The mood of a room can be changed in an instant by using different pillowcases from Pillowcasegram throughout the year.  And pillowcases can change the mood of a person from having a bad day to having a happy, bright, cheerful day.


I was on the Pillowcasegram web site and saw a pillowcase that I liked. When I went to order it a day later I couldn’t find it on the web site?  Why couldn’t I find it?

The fabrics we purchase to make Pillowcasegrams are not unlimited.  Therefore, once a particular pillowcase is sold out, we may not be able to obtain that fabric again.  If you see a pillowcase you’d like to send to someone, you should do so as soon as you see it, or it may be gone the next time you visit our web site.  However, if we have sold out of a specific design of Pillowcasegram that you liked, there are many others that are just as fun to send.  Or click on our “Create a Pillowcase” link to create your own design.  You could also write us at info@pillowcasegram.com and describe the fabric to us or give us the name of the pillowcase.  We may be able to get enough of that fabric to make a pillowcase.  However, there would be an extra charge, since we wouldn’t be purchasing the fabric at wholesale prices.


What does “Limited Edition” Pillowcasegrams mean?

“Limited Edition” means that we could only get a certain amount of that fabric.  Once the fabric is sold out, it is most likely gone forever, unless we are lucky enough to find more of that fabric again.  If you see a “Limited Edition “ Pillowcasegram that you like, you should buy it then.  It may be gone the next time you check the web site to see if it’s still available.

What sizes are pillowcases from Pillowcasegram?

Our pillowcases will fit standard-sized pillows.  We are assuming the following pillow measurements:  20” x 26”.  When you order a Pillowcasegram as a gift, you don’t have to worry about whether you are sending the right size.  We can also custom-make queen- and king-size, if desired.  Just let us know you'd like queen or king by emailing us at pillowcasegram@aol.com and we will let you know the price for those sizes.


I don’t see a theme of a Pillowcasegram that matches what I’d like to order.  Is it possible to order a theme that you don’t show on the web site?

Yes, it’s possible to order a theme that you can’t find on our web site.  Please go to our “Create" page and follow the instructions.  There is an extra fee for custom-made Pillowcasegrams since the fabric cannot be ordered wholesale.  Custom-made pillowcases may also be personalized.

When you order a custom-made themed Pillowcasegram, we will send you a picture of the fabric chosen before we order the fabric. You can then choose to accept or not accept the fabric.  Once you have approved the fabric, and the fabric has been ordered, the order cannot be canceled.  Payment is required before the fabric has been ordered and the Pillowcasegram has been made.

How should I wash a pillowcase from Pillowcasegram?

Pillowcasegrams are 100% cotton unless otherwise marked, machine washable, and are not pre-washed or pre-shrunk.  We recommend machine washing in cold water and tumble drying on low.  This will minimize shrinkage and bleeding of fabrics.  Turn the pillowcase inside-out to protect the vibrant colors.  Using bleach may fade the colors.  If you are sensitive to chemicals that may be in fabrics, wash the Pillowcasegram before the first use.

Colors may fade after several washings.  Wash colors with colors and whites with whites. Fabrics today resist bleeding and shrinkage; however, there may be times when bleeding and shrinking can occur.  We test each fabric with a bleed test, and have washed our Pillowcasegrams pillowcases many times to test for shrinkage. We have never had any problems with either.  Pillowcasegram is not responsible if shrinkage occurs or bleeding occurs onto other fabrics.  If taken out of the dryer immediately, they should not need to be ironed or will need minimal ironing.   


Can I order by phone?   

We encourage you to order through our secured online server for the fastest possible service, but please feel free to call us if you prefer to order by telephone.  You can place an order by telephone by calling our toll-free number, 1-866-604-7559.  Please leave us your name and phone number where you may be reached, and we will call you back within 24 hours to take your order.  When leaving a message, please be sure to speak slowly and clearly so we will be able to return your call promptly.

How soon will my order be shipped?

Since our pillowcases are custom-made after an order is made, it can take three to five days to make them and send them out.  Some of our pillowcases, such as the photo pillowcases or cheerleader pillowcases, may take longer, but that is noted under the description of the pillowcase in the catalog.  When it says to allow two weeks for the making of a pillowcase, that does not include the postal delivery.  Once made, the delivery will take a few more days.  Many times, they are sent out before that time frame; however, we want to allow ourselves enough time to make our pillowcases perfect for delivery.  Holiday times, such as Christmas and Valentine's Day are very busy, so be sure to place your orders early for holidays.  It will take a little longer during those busy times.  It is fun to send them earlier, so the recipient can keep them out before, during, and after the holiday time.  And if they arrive later after the holiday, it will extend the fun of the holiday by receiving another gift to open.


What do you consider “holiday seasons”?

Holiday seasons are typically in February for Valentine's Day, March or April for Easter, May for Mother’s Day, June for Father’s Day, and November and December for Thanksgiving, Hanukkah, and Christmas.


How can I pay for my order?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, Discover Card, and American Express.  You can safely enter your entire credit card number via our secure server, which encrypts all submitted information . We do not accept cash or CODs.  You may pay by check by sending it along with a copy of the check-out form to:  Pillowcasegram, P.O. Box 224, Westfield, NY, 14787-0224.  Please be sure to allow extra time if ordering by mail and check. 

We will hold your check until it has cleared before the order is sent out.  If your Email address has been provided, an Email will be sent to you when the check is received, and when the order is sent out.  There will be a $25 charge for any returned checks.  A Money Order or certified bank check would be preferred and would speed the order process.

Do I have to pay sales tax?

Only orders that are shipped within the States of New York and Pennsylvania are subject to sales tax. This is because Pillowcasegram & Other Things is based in New York and has a retail store in Pennsylvania, so it is required by law that New York and Pennsylvania residents pay sales tax.


How much does shipping cost?

At the present time, we only send by the United States Postal System (USPS).  However, if you need something shipped overnight, please contact us at pillowcasegram@aol.com, and we will let you know the cost of overnight shipping, and will add it to the order. Our shipping & handling fees are as follows:

Three pillowcases and above have to be shipped Priority Mail; thus we use Priority Mail rates for any orders with three or more pillowcases for regular delivlery.

Do you ship outside the U.S.?

No, we do not ship internationally at this time.  We do accept orders from international customers who are shipping to the U.S.  We plan to offer international service in the future.


Can I cancel an order once it has been placed?

If you need to cancel an order, please Email us at info@pillowcasegram.com as soon as possible.  Since we strive to send out orders as quickly as possible, we may not be able to cancel it.  If an order has already been made, and it is embroidered with a name, then it cannot be cancelled nor refunded.  If it is not made yet, there will be a $5.00 charge for cancellation.  If the order has already been sent, the order cannot be cancelled. When we receive an Email cancelling an order, we will answer you back as soon as possible if we were able to cancel the order or not.

What should I do once I have placed an order and decide that I want to add an additional pillowcase or change which design I ordered?

If you have already completed an order and wish to add an additional item or make a change, you will need to cancel your initial order and place a new order.  This process is necessary as you must authorize any new charges to your order, and the cost of postage may also change.  To cancel an order, Email Customer Service as soon as possible after placing the original order, at info@pillowcasegram.com .  Please include the order number that you would like to cancel to insure accuracy.  Once the first order has been canceled, proceed to order again, and then add your additional item. 


What should I do if the Pillowcasegram is never received by the intended recipient?

You must notify us of lost merchandise within one week of the intended delivery.  Most packages would be received in the contiguous U.S. within one week of the date sent.  If you think a package has been lost, please contact us immediately at 1-866-604-7559.  Please leave your name and telephone number, and we will return your call promptly.

Can a Pillowcasegram be returned?

Custom-made embroidered pillowcases cannot be returned, unless there is a problem with it, such as the fabric is stained or ripped.  Please email us at info@pillowcasegram.com if there are any problems with your order.

Why do the pillowcases have different prices?

The pillowcases have different prices, because the cost of the fabrics vary.  They range from a lower price to a higher price by yard, depending on the manufacturer, how much of that fabric is produced, the thread count of the fabric, and other factors in the production of the fabric. 

Also, some fabrics are no longer available wholesale.  They are older fabrics that aren't being manufactured any longer.  But the fabrics are wonderful and make great pillowcases.  Fabrics come and go.  They change frequently and constantly.  Once they stop manufacturing them and the wholesalers don't carry them any longer, we buy them direct from a fabric store.  Thus, the cost of the fabric is higher.  

We strive to keep the cost of the pillowcases as low as we are able, and still cover all our costs of running a business. 

 

What does "Right Side Bed," "Left Side Bed," and "Doesn't matter" mean when
we are given the option of  "Bed Side"?
 
Some fabrics are directional.  That means that the pictures on the pillowcases can
be upside-down, if they are not put on the side of the bed for which it was made. We
make our pillowcases so that the cuff of the pillowcase is on the edge of the bed. 

When we say "right" side or "left" side of the bed, we are laying on the bed, with our heads at the headboard of the bed and our feet at the baseboard.  So if you order a pillowcase that has directional fabric, we are giving you the option of choosing on which side of the bed you want the pillow.   If you want the pillowcase to be on the right side of the bed, you should order a "Right Side" pillowcase.  If you want the pillowcase to be on the left side of the bed, you should order a "Left Side" pillowcases.  If you are not concerned about which side of the bed you are putting it on, then you can check "Doesn't Matter."
